Rockets down Blazers 87-82 in Summer League
Chase Budinger had 17 points and sparked a late rally to give the Houston Rockets an 87-82 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night in the NBA's Summer League.
Budinger scored the first five points of a 10-2 Houston run in the final 1:23 for the come-from-behind victory.
James White added 16 points off the bench for Houston, while former Oregon Duck Maarty Leunen had 14.
Second-round draft pick Dante Cunningham led the Blazers with 22 points while former University of Portland guard Pooh Jeter had 15 points and six assists.
The Rockets defeated the Blazers in six games in last season's playoffs. It was the first time the Blazers had been to the postseason since 2003.
