NBA: Blazers down Clippers, move into tie for sixth
LOS ANGELES — The Portland Trail Blazers downed the Los Angeles Clippers 93-85 on Wednesday and moved into a tie for sixth in the Western Conference.
The Blazers, Spurs and Thunder all are 48-30 with four games left. Portland hosts Oklahoma City on Monday.
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and Brandon Roy added 23 to lead the Blazers, who have won 14 of their past 17 games.
Rasual Butler, Chris Kaman and former Blazer Steve Blake scored 14 apiece for the Clippers.
The Blazers return to action at 7 p.m. Friday at the Rose Garden against Dallas (51-27), currently in a three-way tie for second with Denver and Phoenix.
